You’re an expert at communicating how technology and data will change how associations think about managing an association, its departments, and its members. You’re able to work with associations to make sense of the information available to them around association management software and show them how Altai Systems is able to serve their needs, drive their technology forward, and future proof their association’s data.
We’re looking for a Business Development Director that understands associations from membership and events to governance and accounting. Our sales team works in a collaborative environment to solve problems for our association prospects and work with the greater team to offer streamlined solutions that turns our prospects into clients and our clients’ goals into reality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Build on your existing network and leverage industry resources to reach out to associations that will benefit from updating their technology to the Altai Association Business Platform, help them make sense of the proliferation of data that exists around Association Management Software, and bring them into the fold with Altai through educating them on our technology
- Act as the point of contact, project manager, and subject matter expert for association prospects
- Effectively communicate and promote the Altai CRM/AMS vision
- Lead high-level Altai CRM demonstrations via webinars or directly with the prospect (1:1)
- Build customer-centric account plan focused on solving their specific issues
- Develop a strong network with industry consultants
- Project manager and lead for RFP responses
- Keep management informed of opportunity progress via Teams and Altai’s CRM
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc
- Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, working with Altai consultants, and establishing personal networks
- Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft 365/Office Suite programs
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and CRM/AMS software systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform apps such as Power BI
- 6+ years in business development, marketing, or operations in the association or SaaS industry
- Customer-first mentality
- Ability to identify true decision-makers
- Passionate about Association Management and creating success for our clients and/or a passion for CRM technology and solving complex needs with simple solutions
- History of closing large deals comprised of both SaaS and consulting
- Experience in the Association Management/Customer Relationship Management space is a huge plus
- Ability to self-prioritize with minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Possess the desire to proactively call on association executives to levels; persistent
- Exemplary Customer Service skills
- Ability to take initiative when opportunities arise
- Works well independently as well as part of a team
